
Women’s Bowling Claims First in Stout Open
EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – The Viterbo University Women's Bowling team competed at the Midwest Collegiate Championships this past weekend. The V-Hawks finished 1 out of 4 teams with a total of 6728 pins, four V-Hawks finishing in the top 10.
Emily Newbauer, ranked #15 in the country led the V-Hawks with a first-place finish, averaging 188 pins over five games (940 total).
Holly Santucci followed, taking 3rd place with a total of 911 (182.2 average) pins over five games. Ceri Deacon came in 6th with a total of 835 pins (167 average), while Maddie Schwartz would take 9th with a total of 799 (155.8 average). Courtney Keller would be the next V-Hawk finisher taking 17th, knocking 539 (134.75 average). Samantha Molling, final V-Hawk to compete, with 116 pins over one game, taking 24th.
The V-Hawks return to action October 26-27 at the GLBC Conference Meet 2.
