V-Hawks Compete at Warhawk Open

ADDISON, Ill. – The Viterbo University Women's Bowling team competed at the UW-Whitewater Warhawk Open this weekend at Stardust Bowl. The V-Hawks finished in 18th place out of 24 teams with a team score of 7,444.

Mount Mercy University had the highest team score on Saturday with 8,659, while Davenport University captured the Championship in bracket play on Sunday. Kasey Eaton of Davenport University claimed the individual title with a score of 1284 over six games for an average of 214. The V-Hawks did not qualify for bracket play.

Ceri Deacon was the top performer for the V-Hawks, finishing 15th out of 195 bowlers, scoring 1,122 over six games, averaging 187, and having a high-game of 216. Holly Santucci finished 32nd, bowling a  1,072 over six games, for an average of 178.67, and peaking at 212, while Lynn Piekarski in 38th shot a 1,066, just one pin per game below her teammate.

Fellow V-Hawks Haley Bogdan and Madelyn Schwartz were separated by just three pins, finishing in 101st with 864, and 103rd at 861, respectively.

The V-Hawks return to action on January 21-22 for the Clarke Invite.
