Two V-Hawks Named Honorable Mentions

WATERTOWN, SD – The North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) has officially announced the 2022-23 Women's Basketball All-Conference Teams and Postseason Awards. Three V-Hawks were honored by the league at the awards ceremony on Friday night.

Viterbo finished the season with a 7-20 record, including 4-10 in conference play, and ended as the No. 6 seed in the league standings. Their season came to an end with a 50-73 loss to Bellevue University (Neb.).

Sophie Leinfelder (Sr., La Crosse, Wis.) was named All-Conference Honorable Mention after averaging 8.9 points on 39.2% shooting from three, 2.8 assists, and 1.8 steals. This was Lenfelder's first All-Conference honor.

Natalia Leguizamon (Jr., Milwaukee, Wis.) averaged 13.8 PPG (2nd in NSAA) and 2.4 SPG (2nd in NSAA) en route to being named All-Conference Honorable Mention as well. This is her first All-Conference honor as a V-Hawk, adding to her Second-Team All-Sun Conference honor as a member of Florida Memorial University last season.

Tyreesha Blaylock (Sr., Flint, Texas) was Viterbo's selection for Champion of Character. Blaylock earned this award for embodying the NAIA's five core values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship and servant leadership both on and off the court.
