Women's Basketball drops regular-season finale to Waldorf

LA CROSSE, Wis. - The Viterbo University Women's Basketball team played their final game of the regular season at home on Friday night. The V-Hawks fell to Waldorf 57-62. 

Viterbo started hot, opening the game on a 9-0 run. The Warriors spent the rest of the game chipping away at that early Viterbo lead. Waldorf started the beginning of the second half with a jump shot to tie the game up at 33 points apiece. The remainder of the game saw multiple lead changes. Waldorf had the lead when it mattered most, sealing the win with a couple of free throws at the end. 

Chyna Young had a team-high 15 points in the game. Justyne Burgess secured a team-high eight rebounds and five assists. 

The V-Hawks will be on the road for the North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) Tournament Opening Round game. The V-Hawks earned the #5 seed and will travel to #4 Dickinson State.
