TUSCON, Ariz. – The Viterbo University Softball team fell in their final Spring Training game against Franklin & Marshall 4-5. The V-Hawks sink to 1-12 on the season.
The V-Hawks opened the game with a run before falling behind in the fourth. On a comeback in the top of the fifth the V-Hawks woul score three runs though in the bottom of the fifth F&M would come back for the win.
Morgan Fuhrer opened the game on the mound for the V-Hawks, pitching five innings, sriking out three batters, letting up eight hits, and five runs for the loss.
At the plate Marissa Carter-Olson led the V-Hawks with a double and two RBIs, while Madyson Schultz would also bomb for a double and an RBI.
The V-Hawks are back in action Saturday March 22 for their home season opener against Bellevue University.
