Softball Releases 2024 Schedule

LA CROSSE, Wis. – The Viterbo University Softball team has officially announced their 2023-24 Schedule. The V-Hawks will look to expand on a 2023 campaign that ended with an 18-28 record, their most wins since 2017.

Viterbo begins the season Saturday, February 10 and Sunday, February 11 with games at the St. Ambrose Dome in Davenport, Iowa. They follow that with the Austin Dome Tournament in Austin, Minn on February 17. On March 2nd and 3rd, they will travel to Fort Wayne, Ind for a series with Indiana Tech, and from March 8th to the 13th the V-Hawks will travel to Tucson, Ariz for Spring Training.

When they return, the V-Hawks, who are led by First-Team All-NSAA Catcher Morgan James, who ranks second all-time at Viterbo in career homeruns and fifth in RBI's, will host their conference opener against Dickinson State (N.D.) on March 16th and 17th. They follow that with a mid-week doubleheader against Clarke (Iowa) on March 20th, and another home conference series against Mayville State (N.D.) the 23rd and 24th. VU ends March with a road conference series at Valley City State (N.D.) the 29th and 30th.

First-Team All-NSAA Infielder Marissa Carter-Olson and the V-Hawks start April with a home double header against Martin Luther (Minn.) on Wednesday, the 3rd, and welcome UW-Platteville on April 6. On April 10th, Viterbo travels to Cedar Rapids, Iowa to take on Mount Mercy, and their final home conference series comes against Dakota State (S.D.) April 13th and 14th. Their final home games will be on April 18 with a doubleheader against Judson (Ill.). They end the regular season road conference series at Bellevue (Neb.) the weekend of the 20th and at Waldorf (Iowa) the weekend of the 27th.

The NSAA Conference Tournament is set to being on Thursday, May 2 in Dickinson, S.D. Head Coach Brandi Alonzo, now in her 10th season, led the V-Hawks to their best seed in seven years, and will look to continue that improvement.
