James Selected as NSAA Player of the Week

BISMARK, ND – The North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) has officially announced the eighth edition of the Softball Players of the Week Honors, and Viterbo's Morgan James was selected as the Player of the Week. She was chosen alongside Lauren Jurek of Bellevue (Neb.) as the Pitcher-of-the-Week. This is James' first time receiving this award.

James, a Mineral Point, Wis. native, led the V-Hawks offense with a red-hot .786 batting percentage, including a perfect 10-10 in a tripleheader against Dakota State (SD). On the week, she recorded two doubles, a triple, and a homerun while collecting six RBIs. She posted an on-base percentage of .786 and a slugging percentage of 1.308. She was also lights out in the field, producing  a perfect fielding percentage of 1.000 with 22 chances, recording 18 putouts and four assists at the catcher position.

James will lead the V-Hawks as they continue their regular season campaign with a double header at St. Mary's University (Minn.) on Thursday afternoon.
