Birdsong Sets Record at Nationals

VANCOUVER, Wash. – The NAIA National Men's Cross Country Championships took place on Friday morning at Fort Vancouver National Historic Championship Course, and Connor Birdsong represented the V-Hawks on the national stage.

The Grad student finished 45th out of 331 total runner with a time of 25:47.4. The mark is his own personal best by 13 seconds, and also set a new Viterbo record, beating the old record set at the National Meet in 2021 by Drake Ingold of 25:58.2.

Birdsong individually qualified for the Championship Meet by finishing third at the NSAA Conference Meet, and was the top performing North Star athlete at Nationals.
