V-Hawks Compete at NAIA Stampede

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The Viterbo University Men's Cross Country team competed at the NAIA Seminole Valley Stampede, hosted by Mount Mercy University (Iowa) on Saturday morning. The V-Hawks took ninth place out of 10 teams with 224 team points.

Iowa Central CC claimed the team championship with 31 points and three finishers in the top five. Housem Hrabi earned the individual title with a time of 24:45.1.

Connor Birdson was the top performer for the V-Hawks, finishing sixth, scoring five, with a mark of 26:00.7. Ben Fleuchaus's time of 29:00.8 scored 45 points, 49^th place, and Garrett Eick earned 49 points with his time of 29:39.3 (55^th place). Bryce Ertman and Andrew Kaja were the final finishers for the V-Hawks, recording times of 32:02.4 (76^th place, 62 points) and 32:31.6 (77^th place, 63 points), respectively.

The V-Hawks return to action on Friday, November 3 as they host the NSAA Conference Championship Meet at Maple Grove Venues.
