La Mere Competes at National Meet

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Cameron La Mere, a freshman on the Viterbo University Men's Cross Country team, ran at the NAIA Cross Country National Championship on Friday. La Mere finished in 163rd with a time of 26:02.6, which is his 8k personal record.

Dordt (Iowa) posted a team score of 97 points, and Oklahoma City's Abraham Chelangam won the individual title with a time of 23:41.9, beating out the field by 13 seconds.

La Mere's performance was the second-best time by a V-Hawk at the National Meet (Drake Ingold, 2020, 25:58.2) and 167th was the fourth best Viterbo finish (Ingold-2020-79, Ingold-2021-91, BJ McCall-2008-150).
