Viterbo Men's Cross Country finishes 19th against top teams
WEST SALEM, Wis. - The Viterbo University men's cross country team finished 19th place at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Drews/Neubauer Invitational on Friday. The race took place at the Viterbo home site of Maple Grove Venue in West Salem. UW-La Crosse won the invitational and Viterbo saw a lot of good Division III competition at the meet. The V-Hawks placed 19th of 23 total teams with a score of 578. They sat just behind Aurora University, who finished in 18th place with 556 points, and ahead of the University of Wisconsin-River Falls who finished with 615 points.
Drake Ingold was the top finisher for the V-Hawks, crossing the finish line at 26:07.72 and coming in 40th place out of a total 380 runners. The next Viterbo athlete to cross for the men was Tanner Groshek, who placed 243 at 28:35.83.

The V-Hawks will spend the next couple of weeks preparing for the North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) Conference Cross Country Championships. They will take place on Friday, November 5th at the Platteville Country Club in Bellevue, Neb. The men are scheduled to run at 10:30 am CST.
