V-Hawks Pinned by Eagles
Elgin, Ill. – The Viterbo Men's Volleyball fell in a conference matchup with Judson University on Tuesday evening 3-0 (25-17, 25-14, 25-16). The V-Hawks fall to 3-20 (CCAC 0-5), while the Eagles rise to 9-10 (CCAC 3-3)
Logan Amdur with a set up for Styrk Myhre would open the match for the V-Hawks with the kill before Amdur would go up for the solo block. The V-Hawks fighting for the advantage, Ethan Davis and Riley Connors would swing at the net for a series of kills. Davis would end a four point run for the Eagles with a kill followed by taking two more.
The V-Hawks taking a quick two points would then volley for an even score Davis and Amdur taking sets from Roman Rzeszutko before Myhre would smack down a kill from the middle. Myhre taking a solo block and a kill from Davis would end set two.
Amdur's ace would set a hopeful tone to the third set, with a short three point run to build back from a deficit including a kill by Alex Kratzenstein. Noah Diedrich also claiming an ace before Davis would take the next two V-Hawk kills would keep them in the game.
Davis led the V-Hawks with 11 kills, Amdur set up 15 assists, and Dugan took eight digs. Elijah Gregg led the Eagles with 10 kills.
The V-Hawks return to action Thursday, March 20 for a home matchup with St. Ambrose University.
