Kerkman Named CCAC Defender of the Week
CHICAGO, Wis. – The Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) has officially released their Men's Volleyball Players of the Week Awards, and Viterbo's Dance Kerkman has been named the Defender of the Week. He is joined by Cameron Daniels from Saint Xavier as the Setter of the Week, and Brody McAfee from Olivet Nazarene as the Attacker of the Week.
Kerkman led the V-Hawks by averaging nearly two blocks/set over the V-Hawks three matches last week. This included eight blocks against Dordt College (Iowa), and an 11-block, 12-kill double-double on .524 hitting in Viterbo's win over Morningside College (Iowa). For the three combined matches, Kerkman averaged 1.82 blocks and 1.91 kills per set with a .362 attack percentage.
Kerkman and the V-Hawks return to action on Tuesday, February 20 on the road at Maranatha Baptist University.
