Men's Volleyball sweeps Ottawa in season finale

LA CROSSE, Wis. - The Viterbo University Men's Volleyball team defeated Ottawa University in three sets (25-22, 26-24, 26-24) at home on Saturday afternoon. This was the V-Hawks' final game of the season.
The V-Hawks started off slow, but a kill by Brett Thompson (Sr. - West Salem, Wis.) tied the game at 8-8. The V-Hawks did not drop the lead the rest of the first set carrying them to take the set 25-22. Thompson finished the first set with seven kills.
Viterbo started off strong in the second set with three kills in a row by Thompson putting the V-Hawks up 12-6. Two errors by Ottawa allowed Viterbo to take the second set 26-24. The third set was back and forth. Jacob Nonn (Jr. - Cross Plains, Wis.) contributed two kills to give the V-Hawks the lead. A final kill by Thompson gave Viterbo the third set to complete the sweep.
Brett Thompson led the V-Hawks with 20 kills. Andrew Lepage (Jr. - Cross Plains, Wis.) contributed 30 assists and 10 digs while Thomas Robson (Sr. - Middleton, Wis.) led with 11 digs. The V-Hawks ended the season with a 10-12 record.
