Bio
Jefferson started as the Director of Horizontal and Vertical Jumps for the V-Hawks in January 2019.
Before coming to Viterbo, Jefferson has eight years of coaching track & field at the high school level. Jefferson has coached football at the high school, collegiate, and professional (indoor) level for 25 years.
He is the Executive Director and Founder of the College Gridiron Showcase and played professionally in the Arena Football League (AFL) for five seasons with the Arizona Rattlers and Iowa Barnstormers. He was invited to two National Football League (NFL) mini-camps.
At the University of South Dakota, Jefferson was an indoor and outdoor NCAA All-American in track and field and also competed in football at USD. He was a five-time North Central Conference Champion, graduating with the school’s 55-meter dash and triple jump records (triple jump conference record). Jefferson was named the South Dakota Athlete of the Year.
In high school, Jefferson was a three-time Nebraska state champion and all-class in the 4 x 100-meter relay as well as winning state titles in the long and triple jump events. He was a seven-time gold medal recipient in the state. He ended his high school career with freshman and varsity records in the high jump, long jump, and triple jump at his school.
Jefferson also works at Viterbo University as an administrator.
