V-Hawks Take Fourth at the Battle in the Bluffs

DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Viterbo University Women's Track and Field team scored 141.5 points at the University of Dubuque Battle in the Bluffs on Friday. The V-Hawks finished third place out of six teams.

Connor Birdsong earned the gold medal in the 5,000 with a time of 15:16.95, while Brayden Bradway was first in the pole vault, clearing 4.30m (14'1.25").

Jalen Anderson collected a pair of third place finishes with his times of 21.70 seconds in the 200, and 14.70 in the 110 hurdles.

Brandon Ferguson was fourth in the 110 hurdles at 15.32, while Colin Adams was fourth in the high jump, clearing 1.89m (6'6.25"). He was also fifth in the long jump with a leap of 6.33m (20'9.25"). Avin Smith finished fifth in the 400 hurdles, notching a time of 59.93 seconds.

Other scorers for the V-Hawks included Domnic Marken taking seventh in the high jump with a mark of 1.84m (6'0.5"), and the long jump, leaping 6.24m (20'7.75"), and Nicolas Vollmar taking seventh in the pole vault, clearing 3.55m (11'7.75").

The V-Hawks return to action on Thursday, May 9 for Day 1 of the NSAA Conference Championship Meet.
