V-Hawks Compete at Nationals, Moore Collects Second All-America Nod

Marion, Ind. – The Viterbo University Men's Track and Field team had a pair of athletes compete at the national stage at the NAIA Outdoor National Track and Championships this week. Both Jalen Anderson and Justin Moore returned to the National Meet after qualifying last year. The V-Hawks finished with two  team points.

Justin Moore earned All-American for the second consecutive year in the long jump, finishing seventh in long jump. He leapt 7.36m (24' 1.75") on his second attempt, but fouled on his five other attempts. This is his second outdoor All-American accolade and fourth in his career.

Jalen Anderson competed in two events in his second straight year at nationals. He took 24th in the 110m hurdles with a time of 17.40. His 200m time of 21.48 placed him 26th out of 35 competitors.

Life University (Ga.) was crowned the national champions with 55 team points, Dylan Kucera of Midland (Neb.) was named the Most Outstanding Performer, while Phemelo Matlhabe of Life was the most valuable performer.
