Men's Track Competes at Good Friday Open

DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Viterbo University Mens Track and Field team competed in the University of Dubuque Good Friday Open on Friday. The V-Hawks finished fifth out of nine scoring teams with 32 points.

Jalen Anderson captured the only gold medal for the V-Hawks, securing the individual title in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.82. He also had the third fastest time in the prelims of the 110-meter hurdles, 14.47, but did not compete in the finals.

Greg Jenkins earned a pair of third place finishes by clearing 1.97m (6-05.50) in the high jump, and leaping 6.80m (22-03.75) in the long jump.

Colin Adams was just behind his fellow V-Hawk in the high jump, finish fourth with a height of 1.92m (6-03.5) and Nicholas Vollmar had a fourth place finish of his own by clearing 3.62m (11-11.75) in the polve vault.

The V-Hawks return to action on Wednesday, April 12 at the NSAA Multi-Event Outdoor Championships.
