Track Kicks Off Outdoor Season in Platteville
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The Viterbo University Men's Track and Field team started their outdoor season at the UW-Platteville Opener this weekend.
The V-Hawks field athletes had a strong showing, led by Greg Jenkins, who finished first place in the Long Jump, leaping 6.73m (22-01.00), and third in the High Jump, clearing 1.90m (6-02.75).
Gabe Holderby added a podium finish in the Javelin Throw, with his mark of 47.32m (155-03) earning him third place.
Nathaniel Powell was fifth in the triple jump with a mark of 11.47m (37-07.75), Dominic Marken was sixth in the Long Jump, jumping 6.75m (21-02.75) and eighth in the 100-meter dash, finishing in 11.41, and Colin Adams was eighth in High Jump, clearing 1.85m (6-00.75).
The V-Hawks return to action on Saturday, March 8 at the UW-La Crosse Ashton May Invitational.
