V-Hawks Place Fifth in Conference Meet

DAVENPORT, Iowa. – The Viterbo University Men's Track and Field team competed at the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Meet Friday and Saturday placing fifth of eight teams scoring 33.5 points.

Olivet Nazarene (IL) claimed the team title with 258 points.

Ben Olson's Heptathlon performance placed him in second place with 4030 points. In the field Hunter Pickard placed seventh in the triple jump with a distance of 12.20m (40-00.5). Also claiming a point in the field Bryson Fischer would pole vault 4.05m (13-03.5) claiming third place, while Dominic Marken placed ninth in the long jump with a distance of 6.16m (20-02.5) and sixth in the high jump at 1.78m (5-10).

On the track Avin Smith would run a time of 8.63 in the 60m hurdles placing third with Brandon Ferguson hot on his heels in fourth at 8.71. Zach Ritter adding to the V-Hawks leaderboard would place fifth in the 600m with a time of 1:25.64.
