Four V-Hawks to Compete on the National Stage

BROOKINGS, SD – The NAIA National Indoor Track and Field Championships started yesterday, and four V-Hawks will start competing today.

Jalen Anderson represents the V-Hawks on the men's side, making the national stage in three different events. He starts the day with the 60-meter hurdles prelims at 12:50 PM. His "A" Standard qualifying time of 7.98 seeds him 6th in the nation coming into today. Following that, he will run in the 60-meter dash at 2:35 PM. He is seeded 31st with a time of 6.85. Lastly, he will run in the 200-meter dash at 5:00 PM, in which his time of 21.74 seeds him 24th.

On the Women's side, Emma Johnson and Emily Howell will both compete in the Pole Vault, which starts at 3:00 PM. Howell is ranked 25th, clearing 3.47m, while Johnson is 11th with a mark of 3.66m. Tori Gerber will run in the 800 at 2:45 PM. Her time of 2:18.89 seeds her 16th.

Finals for all track events will be run on Saturday, March 2.
