Anderson Named NSAA Men's Track Athlete of the Week

BISMARCK, N.D. – The North Star Athletic Association announced its third edition of the Women's and Men's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week, and Jalen Anderson of Viterbo was selected as the Men's Track Athlete of the Week.

Anderson earned a first place and a runner-up honor, as well as producing the NAIA's 'A' automatic qualifying time in the 60-meter hurdles for Viterbo (Wis.) at the NCAA Division III meet Ripon (Wis.) Red Hawk Invitational.  He ran the second fastest 60-meter hurdles in the prelims, 8.20 seconds, hitting the 'A' qualifying time and did not run in the finals.  Anderson captured the 200-meter dash title with a time of 22.33 seconds and a runner-up finish in the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.98 seconds.

Anderson and the V-Hawks return to action on Saturday, February 10 at the Minnesota State-Mankato Maverik Premier Meet #2.
