Holderby sets School Record in Ripon

RIPON, Wis. – The Viterbo University Men's Track and Field team competed at the Ripon College Red Hawk Invite on Saturday, taking 9th out of 11 teams with 20 team points.

UW-Oshkosh took the team title with 249 points.

Jalen Anderson led the V-Hawks with 18 points as he claimed the gold in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.33 and second in the 60-meter, finishing in 6.98 seconds. He also had the second fastest time in the 60-meter hurdles prelims at 8.20, but did not run in the finals.

Other V-Hawks to score in their events included Nicolas Vollmar clearing 3.80m (12;5.5") in pole vault for eighth place, and Gabe Holderby recording a mark of 12.93m (42'5.25") for eighth place in the shot put, which set a new Viterbo Indoor record. Hunter Pickard had a top-10 finish in the triple jump, leaping 12.16m (39' 10.75").

The V-Hawks return to action on Saturday, February 10 at the Minnesota-Mankato Maverick Premier Meet #2.
