Anderson and Jenkins Compete at National Meet

BROOKINGS, SD – Two Members of the Viterbo University Men's Track and Field team competed at the NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships this past weekend. Southeastern University (Fla.) claimed the Red Banner with 45 team points, ahead of Life University (Ga.), who had 40 points and produced the Outstanding Performer, Jacob Ulrich, and the MVP, William Jones.

Gregory Jenkins qualified for nationals in two events. In the Long Jump, he finished 17th with a leap of 6.93m (22-9.00), missing finals by less than 20 cm. in the high jump, Jenkins was unable to clear 1.96, and finished with a no-height.

Jalen Anderson ran in the 60-meter hurdles, finishing 14th out of 29 runners with a time of 8.31 seconds.

Jenkins and Anderson each qualified for Outdoor Nationals last season and will look to repeat this year, with the Outdoor season starting on Wednesday, March 29 at the Texas Relays.
