Jenkins Jumps lead V-Hawks in Oshkosh

OSHKOSH, Wis. – The Viterbo University Men's Track and Field team competed at the UW Oshkosh Early Bird Invite on Saturday. The V-Hawks scored 51.5 team points, placing third out of eight teams. Viterbo  edged out Ripon College by one point and the hosting Titans claimed first with 293.5 points.

Greg Jenkins led the V-Hawks with a pair of first place finishes in both the Long Jump, 7.10m (23-03.50), and High Jump, 2.01m (6-07.00). Jenkins also placed fourth in the Triple Jump, leaping 13.24m (43-05.25).

Jalen Anderson earned a silver medal in the 200m Dash with a time of :22.41, and his time of :7.00 in the 60m Dash, which placed him seventh, set a new Viterbo school record.

Garrett Eick earned a second place finish of his own, running the Mile in 4:50.38.

Nicholas Vollmar finished fourth in the Pole Vault, clearing 3.85m (12-07.50).

The V-Hawks schedule continues on Saturday, January 21 at the UW-La Crosse invitational.
