Ascenzo Named CCAC Defensive Player of the Week

CHICAGO, Ill. – The Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) has officially announced the eight addition of its Men's Soccer Players of the Week, and Viterbo goalkeeper Ernesto Ascenzo has been selected as the Defensive Player of the Week.

The Lima, Peru native made 10 saves over two conference matchups, allowing only one goal, followed by recording his fourth shutout of the season. This is Ascenzo's third time winning the award, his first in the CCAC.

Ascenzo and the V-Hawks return to action Tuesday October 22, on the road at Bellevue for a non-conference matchup.
