Acosta Named Offensive Player of the Week

CHIACGO, Ill. – The Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) has announced the eighth edition of its 2023 Men's Soccer Players of the Week, and Viterbo's Sebastian Acosta has been selected as the Offensive Player of the Week. He is joined by Saint Xavier's Andres Zamora as the Defensive Player of the Week. It is Acosta's first time collecting this award.

Acosta, a Barranquilla, Colombia native, led the V-Hawks with three goals on seven shots (five on goal) in Viterbo's 4-0 win over Indiana University Northwest on Saturday afternoon. He also assisted on the V-Hawk's only goal in their 2-1 loss to Governors State. The seven points brings his season total to nine.

Acosta and the V-Hawks return to action on Wednesday, October 18 as they travel to Roosevelt University (Ill.).
