V-Hawks Tie for Sixth at the UW-Eau Claire Invite

EAU CLAIRE, Wis- The Viterbo Men's Golf team competed at the two-day UW-Eau Claire Wrigglesworth-Blue gold Invitational where they tied for 6th place out of 18 teams. The score for the V-Hawks on the first day was 312 and they were able to shave one stroke for a score of 311 on the second day. This gave the Viterbo V-Hawks a total score of 623 for the invitation.  The Viterbo B-Team took 18th, coming in with a day one score of 354 and a day two score of 357, which resulted in a total score of 711.

Nick Tennis was the leading V-Hawk player with a total score of 153, which received a tie for 18th place. Brice Klabunde was close behind his teammate, bringing in 156 for his total score and tying for 27th place. Keeping the V-Hawk scores close, Ethan Thomas tied for 37th coming in with a total score of 158. Ben Biskupski came in with 159 as his total score which received a tie for 39th place. Owen Bernstorf tied for 47th place with a total score of 161.

The top golfer for the V-Hawk's B-Team was Noah Nelson, with a total score of 168 and a tie for 74th. Keeping it close to his teammate, Andy Odom brought in 169 as his total score which placed him in 77th. Alex Samolinski tied for 92nd place with a total score of 176. Gabe Rombalski came in with a total score of 198 which received 106th place. Coming in with a total score of 213, Jackson Schuh placed 107.

The Viterbo Men's Golf Team will be back on the tee box on Thursday, September 21st for a match-play event with Clark University.
