V-Hawks Claim Title in Season Opener

GALENA, Ill- The Viterbo Men's Golf Team started off their fall season at the Clarke Fall Invitational finishing first out of 14 teams at Eagle Ridge Resort and Spa. The V-Hawks totaled a score of 306. Viterbo's B-Team tied for tenth with a total score of 354.

Owen Bernstorf was the top performer for Viterbo, coming in with a total score of 74 which placed him in fifth out of 77 golfers. Just two strokes behind, Ethan Thomas placed seventh with a total score of 76. Coming in with a total score of 78, Brice Klabunde took ninth place. Ben Biskupski also came in with a total score of 78, placing him in tenth place. Tying for 24^th, Nick Tennis had a total score of 83.

Andy Odom was the top performer for the Viterbo B-Team coming in with a score of 83, tying his teammate for 24^th. Coming in with a total score of 86 and just three strokes behind his teammate, Noah Nelson tied for 37^th. Alex Samolinski brought in a total score of 91 which earned him a tie for 54^th place. Tying for 61^st, Gabe Robalski brought in a total score of 94. Jackson Schuh shot a total score of 98 placing him in 71^st place.

The V-Hawks will return to action on Saturday, September 9^th at the Mount Mercy Invite.
