Tennis Named Golfer of the Week

LA CROSSE, Wis. – Nicholas Tennis, a senior on the Viterbo University Men's Golf team, has been named the North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) Men's Golfer of the Week, the league announced on Wednesday. This is Tennis' first time receiving this award.

Tennis finished tied for 13th in the Whistling Straights Championship (par-72, 6,753 yards), hosted by Taylor (Ind.).  He finished with a round of 84 (12-over-par), despite facing a windy, rainy day in a field that included seven teams ranked or receiving votes in the NAIA Top 25 national poll.  He was six strokes behind the first place, with the second round being canceled to poor weather conditions.

This was the final event for Viterbo's fall season, but Tennis and the V-Hawks will continue competing in the Spring.
