V-Hawks Take the Crown at GLBC III
ROCKFORD, Ill. – The Viterbo University Men's Bowling team competed in the GLBC III this past weekend. The V-Hawks tied for first of 21 teams with 7784 pins, 2932 from the baker games.
Charlie Hunt of Rock Valley claimed the individual title with 1064 pins.
Making the All-Tournament team Austin Calmes and Rylan Schneider placed fourth bowling 1021 (204.2 avg) over five games each. Brayton Fandrich knocking 941 pins (188.2 avg) placed 13th followed in 16th by Anthony Pope with 934 (186.8 avg). The final two Varsity finishers bowling 636 over three games Dylan Sader, and Nate Arias with 299 over two.
The V-Hawks JV team would place fourth of nine teams with 6277 pins, Seth Bailey placing highest for the V-Hawks in 53rd averaging 162 pins over five games (810 total). Mason Barsness and Alex Dahlin coming next in 76th and 78th bowling 149.8 average (749 total) and 147 (735 total) respectively. Over four games Brandon Kantola averaging 164.75 pins would place 100th. The final V-Hawk finishers in 137th and 140th Isaiah Ray and Caden Schmitting with 423 and 399 each over three games.
The V-Hawks return to action February 1 at GLBC Number Four.
