Fandrich Leads V-Hawks at Big Ole Open
ALEXANDRIA, Minn. – The Viterbo University Men's Bowling team competed at the Big Ole Open this past weekend. The V-Hawks varsity finished fourth out of seven teams with a total of 6958 pins, 2277 from the baker games, while JV placed second of two with 6396 pins, 1985 from the Baker games.
Simon Larsen took down the highest total of pins at 1122 with an average of 224.4 pins clinching first place for the individuals.
Brayton Fandrich was the V-Hawks top performer, with a total of 1010 pins over five games for an average of 202, placing fifth of 59 bowlers.
The next V-Hawk finisher would be Anthony Pope totaling 985 pins (197 average) over five games placing sixth. Rylan Schneider finishing in 11th with 928 pins (185.6 average) over five games, followed by Nate Arias with 895 pins (179 average) in 13th. Over four games Austin Calmes knocking 717 pins (179.25 average) took 32nd. The final varsity finisher collecting 146 pins over one game, Mason Barsness.
Caden Schmitting, finishing 14th was the first jv member totaling 890 pins (178 average). The next two V-Hawks one pin apart, Alex Dahlin with 816 (163.2 average) and Dylan Sader with 815 (203.75 average) in 21st and 22nd. Seth Bailey knocking 754 (188.5 average) took 28th followed by Brandon Kantola with 287 over two games.
The V-Hawks return to action November 9-10 in Rockford, Ill for Leatherneck.
