V-Hawks Take First in Stout Open
EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – The Viterbo University Men's Bowling team in the Stout Open this past weekend. The V-Hawks varsity finished 1 out of 12 teams with a total of 7568 pins, while jv placed 1 of 3 with 6854 pins.
Ethan Krause from UW-Platteville took down the highest total of pins at 1003 with an average of 200.6 pins clinching first place for the individuals.
Brayton Fandrich was the V-Hawks top performer, with a total of 1001 pins over five games for an average of 200.6, placing second of 94 bowlers.
Nate Arias would be the next V-Hawk with a sixth-place finish averaging 189.8 pins per game (949 total). Austin Calmes averaging 174.4 pins (872 total) took home the 16th place finish, followed by Anthony Pope averaging 185.5 (742 total) in 40th over four games. In three games Mason Barsness knocked down 537 pins, while Rylan Schneider would be the final bowler for the V-Hawks, bowling three games with 494 pins.
The V-Hawks jv team would bowl at the top with Dyan Sader placing 15th overall with 876 pins (averaging 175.2), with Seth Bailey close behind placing 17th with 867 pins (173.4 average). Alex Dahlin with 829 pins finished 26th averaging 165.8 pins per game. The final two finishers for the V-Hawks were Brandon Kantola and Isaiah Ray placing 34th and 35th respectively taking down 800 and 798 pins.
The V-Hawks return to action October 26-27 at the GLBC Conference Meet 2.
