V-Hawks Take Fifth at Third Conference Meet
SCHOFIELD, Wis. – The Viterbo University Men's Bowling team competed at the Great Lakes Bowling Conference (GLBC) Meet #3 this past weekend. The V-Hawks finished fifth out of 16 teams with a total of 7744. VU scored 4737 team points, and 3007 in the baker games.
UW-Whitewater claimed the team title, with the Warhawks' Hunter Pomije was the individual champion, with 1182 total pins over five games, an average of 236.4.
Mikey Voge was the V-Hawks's top performer, breaking 1,000 for the second time this season with a total of 1,008 over five games for an average of 201.6. he placed 20th out of 146 bowlers.
Nate Arias and Calvin Schneider were the other two V-Hawks to play five games, recording 981 and 913 pins, respectively. Arias' placed 25th, averaging 196.2, while Schnieder placed 27th, averaging 182.6.
Austin Calmes averaged 191.25 pins over his four games, totaling 765, while Mason Barsness averaged 193.33 across his three games, finishing with 580 pins. Erik Ludden knocked 329 over his two games, averaging 164.5, while Seth Bailey scored 161 in his lone game.
The V-Hawks return to action on Feb 3-4 at the GLBC Meet #4 at Bowlero Wauwatosa in Wauwatosa, Wis.
