V-Hawks Host Home Bowling Invitational
LA CROSSE, Wis. – The Viterbo University Men's Bowling team hosted the Viterbo V-Hawk Invitational at Pla-Mor Lanes this weekend, and claimed a third place finished out of eight teams with a total of 7003 pins (4895 regular games, 2108 baker.)
Judson University was the team champions and UW-Oshkosh finished second.
Blaine Hunt from Judson was the individual champion with a score of 1072 over five games, and led the all-tournament team of Hunt, Dave Lohr (UW-Eau Claire, 1071), Sam Moore (UW-Oshkosh, 1043), Alexandros Kouvelas (Judson, 1028), and Owen Farish (Judson, 1025).
Brayton Fandrich was the top performer for the V-Hawks, finishing sixth overall with 1025 over five games and a high of 237.
Calvin Schneider was close behind him finishing in eighth with a total of 1016, and Michael Voge was 13th, totaling 982 pins.
Anthony Pope scored 756 over four games, Matthew Wejrowski had 543 over three games, Austin Calmes averaged 175.5 over his two games, and Mason Barsness had a huge single game of 226.
The USBC sectionals start on Friday, February 10.
