V-Hawks Finish Fourth in Oshkosh

OSHKOSH, Wis. – The Viterbo University Men's Bowling team finished as the four seed in the UW-Oshkosh Titan Invitational, held at Rolling Thunder Lanes, on Sunday. The V-Hawks had a total score of 8013, but fell in the first round of bracket play to UW-La Crosse. UW-Oshkosh claimed the top seed, but lost in the opening round of bracket play to UW-Madison. Marian University topped UW-Madison in the championship.

The V-Hawks came into Day Two of the Invitational in eighth place after scoring 5163 on Day One. Viterbo then put together the fourth-best Baker play score of 2850 (786, 703, 777, 584). Marian had the best Baker score at 2919. The V-Hawks total score of 8013 ended 93 pins behind Coe College (Iowa) for the third seed, and 47 ahead of UW-La Crosse in fifth. The V-Hawks took on the Eagles in the first round of bracket play, but lost (138-170-145) – (189, 157, 192).

The V-Hawks return to the lanes December 3 and 4 for the Warhawks Open.
