Bio

The 2024-25 Viterbo University Men’s Basketball season will be David Mlachnik’s fourth season on Coach Wagner’s staff. Coach Mlachnik grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he attended West Allis Central High School. He served as the assistant men’s basketball coach at Modesto Junior College (CA) in the 2021-22 season, with responsibilities assisting in scouting, player development, and recruiting. Mlachnik was previously a skills trainer and assistant coach for 24:UP, an AAU program in Milwaukee powered by the Pat Connaughton Foundation.
Mlachnik earned a Master of Science in Psychology from Capella University in 2023. He graduated from UW–La Crosse in 2021 with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Studies Education. Mlachnik is an adjunct psychology professor here at Viterbo this fall.
In addition to coaching, Mlachnik assists with scouting, player development, camp coordination, and serves as the recruiting coordinator for the V-Hawks basketball program.
