Colin Adams led the charge for the V-Hawks with six of the opening eight points, Cole Crubel claiming the next five. Koepnick working the floor on both sides of the ball would find C. Crubel for three, completing the half Adams would score the layup to take the lead over the Fighting Saints.

Back on offense Thousand would find Rohde for a layup. With less than 10 left on the clock Treyton Fletcher would claim a block before drawing the foul and making both free throws, before taking to the line once again. C. Crubel draining a three with under 60 seconds remaining would be the end of the scoring for the V-Hawks.

The V-Hawks were outshot from the floor 45.9% to 33.3% and from three 38.9% to 35.3%, though committed less turnovers 6-19.
