Men's Basketball Releases 2024-25 Schedule

LA CROSSE, Wis. – The Viterbo University Men's Basketball team officially released their 2024-25 schedule. The V-Hawks are coming off a 12-16 campaign in 2023-24, with a 6-6 North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) record. The 2024-25 season will have the V-Hawks begin play in their inaugural season in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC).

Head Coach Wayne Wagner, the 2021-22 NSAA and Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association Coach of the Year, and the V-Hawks begin their non-conference season in Dubuque, Iowa at the Clarke University Classic, November 1-2. There the V-Hawks will face longtime rival from the Heart of America Conference, Clarke University (IA) and perennial Great Plains Athletic Conference contender Morningside University. The V-Hawks return home for their home opener against Edgewood College on Tuesday November 5.

The 2024-25 non-conference schedule will continue to be challenging as it also includes matchups with traditionally strong NAIA programs. Those include road contests at the Northwestern College Classic where the V-Hawks face Great Plains Conference contenders Northwestern College (IA) and Dort University (IA) November 8-9. The team will return home for the resurrection of the Viterbo University Classic to take on North Star Conference foes Valley City State University on November 15 and 2023-24 National Tournament qualifier Bellevue University (NE) November 16.

The V-Hawks 2024-25 CCAC debut begins with a road game against Holy Cross College on November 20 in South Bend, IN before returning home to face Governors State University on Tuesday November 26. The conference schedule continues with several Wednesday-Saturday contests home and away before the V-Hawks final home game of the regular season with Judson University (IL) (February 19) and a final regular season game on the road at Indiana University-Northwest Saturday, February 22.

The top eight teams from the league qualify for the CCAC conference tournament which begins with quarterfinal games on Tuesday, February 25. The higher seeds host games throughout the tournament with the semi-finals Thursday February 27 and finals on Saturday March 1.
