Monis Earns Second Player of the Week Award this Season

BISMARK, N.D. – Jack Monis, a Junior Forward on the Viterbo University Men's Basketball team, has been named the North Star Athletic Association (NSSA) Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday. This is the eighth edition of the Player of the Week this season, and Monis' second time earning the award.

Monis, an Oconomowoc, Wis. native, led the V-Hawks with a 21-point, 13-rebound double-double in Viterbo's narrow 79-81 loss to St. Xavier (Ill.). He shot a highly efficient 7-10 from the floor, as well as 7-9 from the free throw line , and added an assist.

Monis and the V-Hawks return to the hardwood tonight, December 19, as they play host to Mount Mercy University (Iowa).
