Monis Named NSAA Player of the Week

LA CROSSE, Wis. – Jack Monis, a Junior forward on the Viterbo University Men's Basketball team, has been named the North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday. This is Monis' first award of the season, and was the Player of the Week twice last season.

Monis, an Oconomowoc, Wis. native, led the V-Hawks with 20 points on an efficient 9-16 shooting in Viterbo's 72-71 nail-biting victory at Judson (Ill.) on Wednesday. The reigning Player of the Year in the conference also added eight rebounds, two assists, and a steal.

Monis and the V-Hawks host their season home opener on Wednesday against Edhewood College, then travel to Orange City this weekend for contests against Dordt University (Iowa) and Northwestern College (Iowa) at the Northwestern College Classic.
