CoSIDA Academic All-American Teams

AUSTIN, Texas – Earlier this season, Viterbo University men's basketball senior Jake Bamke (SR/Hortonville, Wis.) collected a Capital One Academic All-District honor. Bamke continued to impress on the court and in the classroom as he was named one of 12 student-athletes to earn CoSIDA Academic All-American distinction, being named the Second Team.

A four-year starter for the V-Hawks, Bamke capped off his career leading the team for the second straight year with 14.8 points per game. Additionally, Bamke averaged 5.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists per contest. With 1,460 career points, Bamke ranks ninth all-time in Viterbo men's basketball history.

The Hortonville, Wisconsin, native has also been consistent in the classroom, boasting NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors the last two seasons. Bamke has been an Academic All-Conference recipient all four years and will graduate in May with a degree in marketing. All student-athletes that are starters or important reserves with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average are eligible for CoSIDA Academic All-District honors and only a select few reach Academic All-American status.
