Fortnite Team Finishes Top 10 at Nationals
LA CROSSE, Wis. – The Viterbo University Esports team competed in the NACE Starleague Collegiate Fortnite Nationals last weekend. The team of Draven Williamson and Brenden McDonald finished 10 of 48 teams.
Over the six games of the national competition, the two recorded 16 total eliminations, and scored 52 points.
Their best game came in the opening round, taking second place and eliminating five enemies. Across the second and third games, they only scored one point off a single elimination. They were back in the top 10 in the fourth, with three more kills, and after another down game in the fifth, finished strong with a 10th place finish and six eliminations for 14 points.
The duo made their second consecutive appearing at Fortnite Nationals, and improved upon a 14th place finish last year.
