V-Hawks Valorant Suffers First Loss of the Season

LA CROSSE, Wis. – The Viterbo University Esports Valorant team fell 0-2 to the University of Wisconsin-Stout on Wednesday night. The V-Hawks now sit at 1-1 on the season.

In the first match, the Blue Devils would dominate, winning 3-13. Stout held the top three spots on the leaderboard as well, and Draven Williamson was the top performer for the V-Hawks with 11 kills, three assists, and four plants, while Brenden McDonald added 11 kills of his own.

Viterbo had a much better performance in the second match, but still lost 8-13. McDonald had the second-highest combat score at 274, recording 20 kills, 1 plant and 1 defuse, and Justin Kratzenstein had 14 kills to go with two plants.

The V-Hawks look to redeem the loss next Wednesday, February 22 against Neumont College of Computer Science (Utah).
