Bio

Emily Gross has served as the team's assistant coach since July 2019. Originally from Woodbury, MN, Emily grew up dancing at Delmonico Dance, a prominent Twin Cities studio, competing at regional and national competitions.

A graduate of Minnesota State University, Mankato with Bachelor of Science degrees in complementary areas: Dance and Sports Management. At MSU, Emily was selected to perform in numerous faculty and guest artist works including Ruben Del Valle Jr, Melissa Rosenberger, Allison Doughty Marquesen, Zenon Dance Company, and TU Dance. A highlight of her performing career, she performed Peek choreographed by Daniel Stark at The John F. Kennedy Center in Washington D.C as part of the American College Dance Association national festival. In addition to performing, Emily had the opportunity to study abroad in France with Dr. Julie Kerr- Berry studying Parisian dance history.

Before her move to the greater La Crosse area, Emily had the opportunity to dance professionally with Stark Dance, an experience that she is truly grateful for.

Her professional journey includes nearly five years with More Than Just Great Dancing!®, a leading organization in the dance industry, where she had the honor of working under the mentorship of the esteemed Misty Lown. Additionally, during that time, she had the honor of teaching at the respected Misty's Dance Unlimited in Onalaska, WI.

Her proudest career achievement took place in May of 2023 when she transitioned to full-time mother to her son, Everett. You will often find "Coach Everett" on campus making appearances at practices, performances, and team events. Her proudest coaching moments include 3 consecutive National Championship appearances and a 2nd place finish at the Wisconsin State Dance.

When Emily is not coaching, she resides in the countryside of Southeast Minnesota with her husband, Hunter, son Everett, and two dogs.
