Five V-Hawks Earn All-America Honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The NAIA has officially announced the 2022-23 Competitive Dance All-America teams, and five member of the Viterbo University Dance team were honored.

Two V-Hawks were named to the First-Team, two were named to the Second-Team, and one was named Honorable Mention. This is the most V-Hawks to earn these honors in a single year in program history.

Dancers submit an audition tape to be judged in order to be considered for All-America. The top thirty scorers make an All-America team. The rest are honored as Honorable Mention.

Nyah Brooks, Sr., First Team – Brooks makes her third appearance on the All-America team after earning a spot her Freshman and Sophomore years, and being named Honorable Mention last year. She tied for the highest score of any athlete that auditioned.

Erin Walters, Fr., First Team – Walters earns a spot on the first team in the first season of her career. She is the third-ever V-Hawk to make an All-America Team as a freshman.

Jessalyn Wilson, Sr., Second Team – After two consecutive years being named an Honorable Mention, Wilson makes her return to an All-America team. She was named All-American her Freshman year.

Madelyn Dibble, Jr., Second Team – Dibble makes the jump to All-America Second-Team this year, after she was selected as Honorable Mention the past two seasons.

Vanessa Wong, So., Honorable Mention – Wong earns her first national honor by being selected as an Honorable Mention.
