Brooks, Wilson, and Dibble each repeat as All-Americans

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The NAIA released its Competitive Dance All-America honors on Sunday. Nyah Brooks, Jessalyn Wilson, and Madelyn Dibble all received All-America honors. This was both Brooks' and Wilson's third consecutive year receiving this honor and Dibble's second consecutive year. All three athletes were named Honorable Mention All-America.

Out of 95 total athletes who auditioned, only eight dancers in the nation are named All-American, while 40 dancers are named to the Honorable Mention team. To qualify, the dancers auditioned a trible pirouette, three leaps, and the audition choreography. These auditions take place at regionals. Dancers are judged on four categories with scores ranging from 1-5 points per category. To be named honorable mention, dancers must earn 12 or more points. To be named All-American, you must earn 16 or more points.

Brooks' leaps of choice were an aerial, turning tilt leap, and a double turning disc. Jessalyn's leaps of choice were step step switch tilt, chainee turn switch tilt, and a double turning disc. Dibble's leaps of choice were an aerial, double turning disc, and a switch grand jete.

Congratulations to all three athletes on this amazing honor!
