Viterbo Dance team makes history and finishes seventh at first-ever nationals

YPSLANTI, Mich. - The Viterbo University Competitive Dance team finished 7th out of 12 teams at its first-ever National Dance competition. Viterbo finished with a final score of 80.64, after finishing with the fifth-highest score in the preliminaries. 

"I am in awe of how much this team accomplished this season," said Head Dance Coach Anna Luz. "We accomplished our primary goal of going to nationals, and we scored the highest of any first-time nationals attendee. Coming home 7th in the nation is an incredible feeling. I'm extremely proud." 

Viterbo only had deductions of 0.5 points and its best category was Jazz, averaging 12.3 in that category.
