Viterbo Dance team finishes in second place at Saints Showdown and Quad Invitational

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Viterbo University Competitive Dance team finished second in both the Saints Showdown and the Saints Quad invite at Aquinas College on Saturday. The Showdown featured eight teams while the quad consisted of four teams, naturally. 

In the Showdown, Viterbo finished second, behind only invitational host Aquinas College. Viterbo scored 80.2 to claim the second-place finish, behind the Saints' score of 84.1. In the quad, Viterbo finished in second yet again, behind Thomas More. The V-Hawks improved their score for the second competition, finishing with a score of 81.1. 

"Our goal for the day was to raise our team average score, and we did just that," said Head Viterbo Dance Coach Anna Luz. "Performing twice in one day takes a toll on the body and mind, but the team pushed through and even raised their scores for the second competition. I feel confident heading into the Saint Ambrose invite next weekend knowing that our scores are increasing at each competition."
