Men's and Women's Soccer to Join CCAC

LA CROSSE, Wis. – The Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) has officially announced that Viterbo University will join the league as an affiliate member for both Men's and Women's Soccer. The V-Hawks will compete in the CCAC starting in the 2023 fall season.

"This is a great opportunity for our soccer teams," said Viterbo Athletic Director Barry Fried. "The Chicagoland conference is a well-known league with quality institutions similar to Viterbo. This move also gives our student-athletes the chance to have a true conference schedule and compete against schools in more regional footprint. We're excited about this move and looking forward to competing in in the CCAC."

Viterbo spent the past five seasons in the Continental Athletic Conference (CAC) (formerly the Association of Independent Institutions (AII)). In that time, the Women's Soccer team produced 28 All-Conference performers, including two Newcomers of the Year, and the Men's team had 15 players earn All-Conference recognition, with one Newcomer of the Year, and one Goalkeeper of the Year.

The V-Hawk Men went 7-4 in conference play during their time in the CAC, while the Women posted a 11-3-1 record. Both teams went undefeated against CCAC teams in their 2022 campaigns.

Viterbo's Men's Volleyball team been an affiliate member of the CCAC since the team's inception in 2019.
